The Forest Fires in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa 2025 – Advanced Report shows that 2,242,195 hectares burned in 2025 — a 20% increase compared to 2024 and about 2.5 times more than in 2023.In total, 23,180 fires were recorded across the European Union, other European countries, and the Middle East and North Africa.
