Prezantimi i Metodologjisë së Projektit për Sistemin Kombëtar të Informacionit mbi Zjarret në Pyje (NFFIS)
Më 19 mars 2025, në ambientet e Agjencisë Kombëtare të Mbrojtjes Civile, u prezantua metodologjia paraprake për sistemin NFFIS – një platformë Web-GIS që synon parandalimin dhe paralajmërimin e hershëm për zjarret në pyje. Ky sistem do të shërbejë si një pikë kyçe për ndarjen e informacionit ndërmjet institucioneve në Shqipëri dhe për forcimin e kapaciteteve kombëtare në reduktimin e riskut nga fatkeqësitë natyrore.

Presentation of the draft-Methodology for NFFIS
On March 19th, 2025 at the premises of the National Civil Protection Agency of Albania (NCPA), the project organized a presentation session on the draft-Methodology for National Forest Fire Information System (NFFIS) under the Output 1 of the project. Presentation session was attended by 10 participants from NCPA and JICA expert team.
The methodology is an important document which includes all aspects related to NFFIS, its purpose and functions, system extensibility to other disasters, required data and data sources, legal and institutional framework, countermeasures against forest fires and other issues related to disaster risk reduction, forestry, hydrometeorology, environment etc. After the finalization of the methodology, the project will continue working in preparation of the technical terms and start building the system.
NFFIS is an integrated Web-GIS system for forest fire prevention and early warning that promotes information sharing among relevant agencies in Albania.
