Yesterday, at CIMA’s headquarters in Savona, we signed a new Memorandum of Understanding with the National Civil Protection Agency of Albania Agjencia Kombëtare e Mbrojtjes Civile , renewing a collaboration initiated in 2010 and consolidated in 2011 with the opening of our office in Tirana. Over the years, this partnership has integrated scientific expertise and operational responsibilities, contributing to the strengthening of Albania’s civil protection system.
The agreement, signed by CIMA President, Luca Ferraris, and the NCPA General Director, Mr. Haki Çako, consolidates a shared trajectory in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, Early Warning Systems, and environmental protection, with particular attention to wildfire risk management.
A new chapter confirming that international scientific cooperation is measured over time, in the ability to build shared tools and progressively strengthen relationships between institutions working toward a common vision.
